I am feeling sleepy.

I am feeling messed up!

Tomorrow a new schoolyear is starting. I don't feel very happy about it. But it's something I have taken on my shoulders out of my own free will and so I have to keep on living with it. Decided to have the last days of freedom for pleasures as much as possible. Drove to the country to see my granny and bring myself some furniture here. Felt rather good behind the wheel this time. Also dug in my brother's computer a bit (found an amazing dirty picture there) and swiped one of his cassettes . (Will give it back this weekend, though.)
On the way back I got an idea to go to Pärnu (missed the smell of seawater and the wind and the sun and also wanted to see my old deskmate who lives there now and had just had a new baby in spring). So on Sunday morning we headed for Pärnu. Had a good time there, since it was sunny and pleasantly windy and the sky was blue and bright. Walked down the pier (but didn't go to the very end of it, because the sea was high and waves kept dashing over it here and there). Then paddled in the water barefoot and found a funny knob there with some seashells glued on it. Also collected some nice pink and very fragile shells (thinking vaguely that perhaps I could use them somewhere as decoration... but knowing actually that it was just a desire of a collector that had woken in me seeing those beautiful tiny things). Had coffee with my old deskmate's family and chatted a bit. Heard some news about people from my childhood, had a look at the new baby (Liisbet by name, I think, although I am not very sure - shame on me!) and her sister Johanna, too. I am not crazy about babies, though. Cute little pink things, but I don't yearn for one for myself so much. And I always keep forgetting how tiny they are at the beginning (huh!) . Drove back through the dark and had an unpleasant situation with a lorry that I didn't dare to pass for quite a long time and just kept driving behind it at least 10 km (grh!) because I was afraid of the dark curves (not because I could have bumped into another car attempting to pass the vehicle, but simply because I was afraid to drove off the road in some nasty dark curve, totally unknown to me). Night-time driving is still a bit difficult for me, since I haven't done it much, especially lately. The road was narrow and winding and I was a chicken suddenly.
For Monday I had invited a colleague to my place and we prepared some work plans together. Hopefully this will save me from some trouble during the next two months. She liked our cat... the cat, though, preferred sitting behind me on the back of the armchair like a bodyguard. In the evening I felt that my throat was a bit sore (probably because of that paddling in cold water) ... so I ate some garlic and went to bed early. This morning I found a very interesting book and couldn't put it down before I had finished it ... which happened about now.

I still have to do some shopping to be prepared for tomorrow's first schoolday... So now I'll go to do it! (Although I'd rather sit at home and go nowhere :S.)

That friend of mine helped me with designing some nice-looking effects for the web. I saw them at darwinawards.com as error messages and they looked very attractive in my opinion . So I wanted to know how they were made. Now today the friend had a look at them and helped me to design a couple of my own ones ). I am very much pleased with myself and adoringly looking up to the friend.
